Early Intervention
Early intervention is the term used to describe the services and supports that are available to infants and toddlers with developmental delays and/or areas of difficulty.
Early identification of delays and difficulties, with appropriate and timely action, has been shown to produce better life outcomes in social development, speech-language skills, fine and gross motor skills, emotional development, and increased independence.

Early intervention can have a significant impact on a child’s ability to learn functional skills, overcome challenges and can increase success in school and life.As a provider of Early Intervention Services, we look for each child's unique strengths and needs, and recognize that a child’s parents and caregivers are the driving forces behind each child’s progress.
At Nurturing Paths, we help a child develop and utilize all of his or her natural abilities and to participate as fully as possible in his / her family and community.
Assessment
Every parent should be aware of their child’s developmental journey. A periodic assessment will help you guide & support your child confidently.If a concern is identified, there is a wide range of intervention possibilities so that children with developmental needs can thrive and grow.
Why EI?
Early intervention focuses on helping eligible babies and toddlers learn the basic skills that typically develop during the first three years of life, such as:
Physical (reaching, rolling, crawling, and walking);
cognitive (thinking, learning, solving problems);
communication (talking, listening, understanding);
social/emotional (playing, feeling secure and happy);
self-help (eating, dressing).
spiritual

Our services will be tailored to meet the child’s individual needs to help young children develop their potential in overcoming their developmental delays.
Services may include:
Assistive technology (devices a child might need)
Audiology or hearing services
Speech and language services
Counseling and training for a family
Nutrition services
Occupational therapy
Physiotherapy
Psychological services
Who’s eligible for early intervention?
The first step in determining whether early intervention would be appropriate is an evaluation of the child’s development to assess if there are any delays or areas of difficulty. Children can receive early intervention services from birth to 3+ years of age (and sometimes beyond).
From Birth | Sometimes it is known from the moment a child is born that early intervention services will be essential in helping the child grow and develop. Often this is so for children who are diagnosed at birth with a specific condition or who experience significant prematurity, very low birth weight, illness, or surgery soon after being born.
For other children | Some children may develop more slowly than others or develop in ways that seem very different from other children. For these children, a visit with a developmental pediatrician and a thorough evaluation may lead to an early intervention referral.
Our program is suitable for Preschool-aged children, who are unable to access the mainstream preschool settings and will benefit effective learning in a 1:1 therapist-student ratio with highly specialised instruction.
At our early intervention centre we offer a 5 day, 3.5 hr intensive programme which equips children in the areas of development.
We design multi-sensory activities for toddlers, babies & children that would maximize the growth in each area of development. This is to help the children to learn through more than one sense making learning more effective. Also, this would help the children to utilise their personal areas of strength.
In addition to that, we implement social skills sessions to encourage socio-emotional development.
Nurturing Paths Early Intervention strives to provide a joyful and play centred environment for children, including:
1:1 student therapist ratio
Research proven methodologies
Effective documentation : Individual Education Plan(IEP)
Parent involvement
CCTV Coverage
The Early Intervention Service runs from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
We have a very high success rate in mainstreaming kids by giving them 18 hours of therapy in a week through our Early Intervention Service. Not only kids love coming to the center, but also have a deep bond with their team of therapists.
Early Intervention Services (EIS): Supporting babies and young children with developmental delays and disabilities and their families. It includes speech therapy, occupational therapy, and other types of services based on the needs of the child and family. EIS can have a significant impact on a child’s ability to learn functional skills and overcome challenges and can increase success in school and life.
School Readiness Program (SRP): School readiness includes the readiness of the individual child and the ability of the family and community to support optimal child development. SRP focuses on classroom skill specific training of the kids to empower them to integrate in the mainstream school. With each observation the goal is to track – What the child can do and consider what the child has the potential to do.
The key objective is to enhance social skills and make the child ready for academics in the context of a group environment.
Each child is given two individual therapy sessions of 45 minutes each and 1 hour of small group intervention daily. Each group comprises 2-6 learners.
Learner placement is dependent on age, social and cognitive functioning level, prevalence and topography of inappropriate behavior(s), and availability. Learners must meet specific prerequisite requirements before being placed in a group.
