Behavioural Therapy

Behavioural therapy is a treatment which seeks to solve problems and modify behaviour by reinforcing desirable behaviour and eliminating unwanted one. It is rooted in principles of behaviourism, a school that focuses on everything learned from the environment. Edward Thorndike was the first pioneer who referred to the idea of modifying behaviour.

Different types of behaviour therapies can be used depending upon various factors been involved including the type of condition/problem and it’s severity like ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis), CBT(Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), Cognitive Behavioural Play Therapy, Social Learning Theory etc.
